WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??????? Liberalism: It just Sounds Better Than Socialist Communism Over the past month I have had MANY topics and issues in which I planned on writing articles expressing my sincere disgust. I have since decided that this week's column will not be on any one specific issue, frivolous lawsuit, or moron who is too stupid to live. My gripe is with what our society is becoming as a whole in America. I could literally write a War and Peace length book on my views and opinions, but I'll try to sum it up the best I can in this quaint little article. I am getting really sick of the left wing liberals in this country. Real sick. As the brilliant Sean Hannity wrote in his book Let Freedom Ring, "The Left may be sincere, but they are sincerely wrong." I couldn't agree with Mr. Hannity more when he discussed how the liberals train our children to criticize our great country, not celebrate it. How correct he is. Let's take the issue of illegal immigration for starters. Why is it when the conservatives want to crack down on illegal immigration...and I emphasize the word illegal, the liberals start throwing accusations of racism and racial profiling. EXCUSE ME? We are not talking about race nor are we profiling anyone. We are talking about people who are breaking the law. I don't care if the illegal alien is white, black, polka-dotted or striped. I also don't care if he or she is Middle Eastern, Russian, Italian, Israeli, Chinese, Amazon, Bigfoot, Martian, or what have you. THEY ARE COMMITTING A CRIME, end of story! Not only are they committing a crime by being here illegally with expired visas, but many of these illegal aliens have proved to be the very terrorists that acted on 9/11! Does anyone truly believe that the terrorists who flew the planes on 9/11 are the only terrorists running free in this country? If you do, you have my deepest sympathy. Let me suggest a little learning tool called Hooked on Phonics, because you are obviously too stupid to even live, nevermind spell. Guess what, citizens...there are terrorists and terrorist cells among us. They may be your neighbors, your local 7-11 owner, perhaps even your very own college professor! WAKE UP! This open border policy has got to come to a screeching halt. It makes me wonder if we even have to leave our own soil to fight the war on terror. Half of them live right here because the liberals don't want to racially profile them. Give me a break! Gee, I'm sorry if you get offended, Habib, but I'd prefer to ensure the safety of thousands of Americans than worry about whether or not you are offended! The word "liberal" in this country is 100% synonymous with political correctness. I am sick to death of these liberals constantly worried about who is offended. The founding fathers, who by the way I'm pretty sure are rolling in their graves right about now, did not found this country and write the Constitution with the purpose and intent of making sure every human being in the US of A is not at anytime offended by another. On September 11 of this year, the University of California, Berkeley chose not to include the national anthem in their remembrance ceremony because it was, and I quote, "too patriotic." Huh? They didn't want to support any particular political agenda (clearly President Bush and his war efforts) nor did they wish to offend any of their students. Those are the same reasons they chose not to fly any extra American flags other than the one that flies over their campus daily. I had the pleasure of listening to a radio interview (on the Hillman Morning Show on WAAF Boston) with one of the student representatives at UC Berkeley, and let me tell you it took everything I had to not pull over my car and puke all over the side of the road. According to this student rep, they have students from all over the world and some of these students may be offended by an extra American flag flying over their campus and the national anthem being sung. She repeatedly said that the ceremony was a time for remembrance and not a time for patriotism or a time to reflect on America and Americans. <sigh> Correct me if I'm wrong, but we were attacked because we are Americans!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the sole purpose of why we were attacked! Not only that, we were attacked on American soil! To even begin to suggest that the anniversary of September 11 was not a time for patriotism is just ludicrous. We were targeted and attacked for the sole reason that we are Americans, so excuse us if we'd like to unite as a group. And this business about foreign students being offended by our flag and our anthem. Here is my message to those offended students: GET THE HELL OUT! You come here to America and benefit from our wonderful education system (although flawed in its liberal brainwashing, but that's another article) and then have the nerve to be offended by our flag? If you are so offended by our flag, then why are you here? Iraq offends me, and therefore you couldn't pay me enough money to go live in Iraq, I don't care what kind of education I could get, even if it were the best in the world. I call these students hypocrites. The US is good enough to educate you, but we're not good enough for you to even respect our flag? Listen up, I don't care who is offended...if you're so horribly offended and scarred for life, then leave. This is America and we should be damn proud to be here. I, for one, am very proud to be an American. UC Berkeley is a state funded school IN AMERICA! No one is asking you to form a collective opinion about the state of the world, but for cryin' out loud at least have enough of a backbone to hold pride in the country that you are located in, that funds you, and that gives you the freedom to be the liberal morons that you are! If some Palestinian student is offended by our country, why don't you go back to your little territory in the West Bank and go to your own University. Oh, that's right, first off if you are female you're probably not allowed to go to school, and secondly, you don't have schools that can hold a candle to American schools. Be sure not to let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Our left wing liberals are reducing our once moral, strong society into a bunch of cry babies. While all these liberal activist groups are spending their time and energy protesting their gay rights and their compensation for what the slaves went through, or passing laws that make shooting paper targets with photos of Osama bin Laden on them illegal, the rest of the America-hating world is keeping nice and quiet while they are building immense amounts of weapons of mass destruction. Our liberal society in America is a very naive one, I'm sorry to say. The cold hard truth is that the world is NOT a peaceful place and never will be. The fact that September 11, 2001 didn't wake these idiots out of their foggy slumber is simply amazing to me. The fact that these elected representatives can actually say that there isn't enough proof that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction is just mind boggling. What more proof do you need? Oh, wait, I know the answer to that one. You need thousands of people to die in their offices while working, trying to make a living, when all of a sudden four airplanes are hijacked and slammed into various parts of our nation. You need hundreds of thousands to die of smallpox, anthrax, or some other biological weapon when some suicide bomber decides to strap a bomb filled with diseases to himself. We are in an age that preventative measures are necessary. We can't keep waiting for mass murder to occur, and then say "Okay, we now have enough proof." Clinton and Gore already made that mistake with a man named Osama bin Laden. Perhaps you've heard of him?
